UConn doner wants 3 million and name off of complex!

According to Yahoo News UConn Donor Robert Burton wants his money back and his name back. Burton wrote Athletic director Jeff Hathaway a 6 page letter. Burton did not like the fact that they hired former Syracuse coach Paul Pasqualoni to replace head coach Randy Edsall. Burton’s son Michael was a captain on Edsall’s first team back in 1999. Burton has put a total of 7 million into UConn football and put 2.5 into their new stadium back in 2002. All Burton asked to be done was to keep him updated wile choosing a new coach but instead AD. Hathaway called him after he found a new coach and hired him.

What’s the big deal? Burton really doesn’t have any say in who they hired! But if you want to keep the money coming in you might want to treat the man with just a little more respect and let him know what is going on! It’s just common sense to me that man has put 7 million dollars into your program you might want to keep him at the top of your list.
Why did he donate so much? Burton believed in the program and his son was a football player there he wanted to see the program succeed. Witch it did but it’s too late now he feels he was disrespected by the athletic director Hathaway. Now Burton wants at least 3 million dollars back and his name off of the stadium.
This is a big deal for the UConn football program and over all the whole athletic department will suffer over this! I feel the same way as Burton, Hathaway clearly didn’t have any respect for him or he would have called him and gave him a heads up on what was going on. This could be a bigger deal than what Hathaway wanted in his hands!

Vick lands a National Endorement Deal!

According to Yahoo News Michael Vick of the Philadelphia Eagles has landed a national endorsement deal. This is the first endorsement that Vick has had since he served 19 months in the penitentiary for running his interstate dog fighting ring. Unequal technologies the makers of sports equipment are making Vick the face of their company. Vick wore a rib protector made by them for the rest of the season after breaking a few ribs. The owner totally supports Vick he reported that he believes all people deserve a second chance and Vick is making up for what he has done and making himself a good role model.

Is this a surprise? Not to me I knew that Vick would start to get his endorsements back! Before getting in trouble Vicks face was being advertised everywhere you looked he had lots of endorsements. A lot of kids really looked up to Michael Vick at least I know I did. I was one of those that from the get go I didn’t turn my back on Vick I believed he would make a return for the better.
Does Vick deserve it? I believe that Vick has worked himself back up that latter and has gained respect from the companies. It takes a lot of dedication to do what Vick has done he has done a complete 360 from where he was at about 3 years ago in Atlanta.  He has been on the straight and narrow path since being released from prison.
I am one of the people that believe that everybody deserves a second chance if they show that they do or work for it do you? Vick is one who had a second chance given to him and he took advantage of it. I believe in the future you will start seeing Vicks face all over again. Vick is now a good person for kids to look up to again!
