Cam Newton is a little too Confident!

According to Yahoo News on Tuesday Cam Newton reported that he does not want to be seen as a Great Football player. Cam said he wants to be seen as an entertainer and an Icon god has given him this platform.  Cams dad took him to a school out in the middle of nowhere and told him you can make this situation a dream or you can make it a nightmare. Cam said that was his fire under his but that’s what gave him the drive to be where he is today. Cam knows that when he gets into the NFL things will change he isn’t just going to take over the AFC like he did the SEC.

I do not like the attitude that Cam Newton has you always have to be confident but the NFL scouts will not like that he said he want to be an entertainer and icon. The scouts would have loved it if Cam would have said I want to be a great football player. Some scouts will not take the chance because of what he said.

Will Cam Newton last? Only time will tell if he will be another Jamarcus Russell or not. I kind of don’t like the choice that Cam made by going to the Draft he should have stayed one last year to gain the experience and get a degree. I know you can always get a degree later but I really thing Cam isn’t ready for the NFL but I can see from his point of view too that’s a lot of money.

I am really curious to see what ends up happening to Cam Newton. I really hope that he doesn’t end up being another Jamarcus Russell that would be a disappointer. So the real question is will Cam be a Entertainer and icon or will he be a repeat of another player?

  

Nets Land Deron Williams!

According to Yahoo News New York Nets land a double whammy they got Deron Williams and Carmelo Anthony all in one day. For the trade Utah Jazz got Derrick Favors and Devin Harris also had to give up to first round draft picks and 3 million dollars. Deron has wanted to leave for some time now he has just wanted to play on a championship caliber team. What he wished for is what he got according to the Nets general manager he said he is building that team as we speak. The Nets are still trading for other players.

Did you see this coming? I did not see this coming I knew that Carmelo Anthony would go to the Nets but I would have never guessed the Nets bringing in Deron Williams. If they get to bond and play as a team there will not be many teams that will be able to stop the Nets they will be a power house like the Heat.

Is this a good idea? I believe that this is a good decision to bring in all of the talented players on to one team. The biggest test will see is can they play as a team. Most of the time when you get this many all stars on one team they don’t play as a team there are too many individuals and ball hogs a certain player want to be the only star.

I really thought that the Nets did well this year with the new players they have. So now that they have all of these all stars on the team I think things should get really interesting I look forward to watching their games now.

Texas man Wrongfully put away for 18 years!

According to Yahoo News a Texas man was wrongfully put away and denied parole for 18 year and spent 14 of it on death row. Anthony Graves would have received 1.4 million in compensation if only the judge ordered actual innocence. The prosecutors dismissed the murder case instead of retrying him all over again to show his innocence. Graves needed to be retrial or granted a Pardon two of which did not happen so Graves is not eligible to be paid his compensation.

Would that suck or what? I could not imagine being blamed of murdering someone and actually not doing it and being sentenced to death in prison. I am glad that while Graves was on death row that they did not kill him that would have been another innocent man killed for nothing.

Why did it take so long? I’m not really sure but it seems like this is happening way too often. Seems like now day you are hearing of people being put in prison and years later being proven innocent. That’s just showing how crooked some parts of our government are.

I’m not sure if it would have been worth the time he served or not I he would have gotten his compensation he would have been an instant millionaire! I am sure that he would have rather lived his life on our side of the bars. I could only imagine being screwed over like he is being. I’m sure that something will be done or he will end up suing the state of Texas.

Miguel Cabrera get another DUI!

According to Yahoo News Miguel Cabrera was arrested once again Wednesday night. Cabrera Is a really talented athlete with a bat swing and speed sent from god.  17 months ago Detroit’s general manager was bailing Cabrera out of jail for the same thing. Again he was buster two days before spring training started Cabrera denied all tests the police tried to give him. Cabrera claimed things were starting to look beautiful and said he would not be into trouble again admitting he had an alcohol problem. Now here we are again he is back in trouble for his lingering problem.

Why would he do such a stupid thing? These things happen to a lot of professional athletes and nobody knows why they would risk it all by doing this stupid stuff. I think that maybe they result to alcohol and drugs due to all the stress and pressure that they are under at the time.

Is this a problem? I really think that Cabrera is closer to being done than what he and a lot of people realize. He first needs to admit that he has a problem and needs to see someone about it. I think sooner or later they will get fed up with his problem he is giving the team a bad look. So im thinking he will straighten up or if not he will be gone soon!

I don’t know how Cabrera does it he gets into all of this trouble and is supposedly drunk all the time. But still he can outperform all the guys that are not doing it.  I’m sure that all of this will catch up to him if he doesn’t start shaping up soon I really hope for the best for him because he is a great guy.

Mobster finally caught!

According to Yahoo News a man that has been known as Jeffrey Shaw that moved to a small town in Idaho and lived an almost perfect life has finally been caught by the FBI. Enrico Ponzo a former New England Mobster moved to Idaho after attempting to kill his boss in New England Ponzo was never to be seen again. Ponzo lived in a two story house and had 12 cattle in the back yard house was in his wife’s name. One of the neighbors took Ponzo to the shooting range and they said he was the best shooter they have ever seen every time that they would mention a gun Ponzo would say I have one of those. Information was not released on how the FBI led up to catching Ponzo but he was wanted for several serious crimes.

Is this crazy or what?  I just can’t imagine living next to a guy that is on the FBI most wanted and is living with a Different identity. The thing is thou we would never know because most people would not expect things like this when getting a new neighbor. If I lived in that small town I would have been suspicious because people from New York just don’t move to a town in the middle of nowhere.

Why did it take so long? Because he moved to a place where not many people go besides the one living there and he worked from home and would only pay for things in cash. I guess he had the 12 cows so that he would fit in and wouldn’t stand out.

This is just crazy I think he is actually pretty smart to think of a getaway plan like this and put it to use. But just like anything you can only get away with it so long it will always catch up to you sometime or later.

A fan makes a mocking sign toward Ohio States Sullinger.

According to Yahoo News a Minnesota student made a sign mocking Ohio State’s Jared Sullinger. The student had a cardboard sign with a picture of Sullinger on with neon lipstick and earrings and the words party in the USA with a rainbow. This was all mocking Sullinger for the karaoke video he mad singing the song Party in the USA by Miley Cyrus. Sullinger handled this situation differently than any other person would have he simply walked up to the student and asked him if he could have the sign to take back with him the student said no. Sullinger had plans to send the sign home to his mother. The student heard that what he wanted it for his mother and messaged him on twitter the student ended up mailing Sullinger the sign.

Did he handle this good or what? I think Sullinger handle this situation good he didn’t get mad over it he took it as a joke. Most likely any other player would have gotten mad over the poster. According to his teammates it’s hard not to like Sullinger he is a nice easy going guy with a great sense of humor.

What would you have done in this situation? I know that I most likely would have been kind of mad to see it but sense they won the game it makes it a little better now if they lost things might have been a little different. I know that I would have looked up and got mad but I would have just walked in the locker room unlike a lot of players.

Do they blow silly thing up on the news now or what? I don’t think they should blow things up like this and make it such a big deal but you know of course then I wouldn’t have anything to write about so it’s a good thing.

Mother forged letter of intent!

According to Yahoo News the number 8 high school recruit out of Louisiana Floyd Raven’s mother forged his letter of intent.  Floyd’s mother didn’t think anything of it she thought that she was doing right. Floyd’s mother didn’t know that he had changed his mind to play for Texas A&M. Floyd was able to get it under control and is now signed to play for the Aggies.

What happen? I’m not sure if that’s what really happen of not! I kind of thought that maybe he signed and then backed out and tried to blame it on his mother. That could be wrong! Maybe the mother wanted him to go to ole miss or like he said it was really an honest mistake.

How often does this happen? It actually happens often except people sign and want to back out most of them are not honest mistakes. I was actually in a situation like this last year I signed with North Dakota and realized that I didn’t want to go there because I was going for a friend and they were really screwing us over.

This is not that big of a deal Floyd will go on and play for the Aggies and be really successful. Really I think this was blown up a little too much because this happens pretty often! I hope for the best with this kid and hope his mom supports his decision.

NFL players going Broke!

According to Yahoo News several former and still playing NFL players have gone broke. Steve Young is one that players should look up to not just for his work on the field but for what he did after and during. Young got a degree in Law school while playing in the NFL in the 90’s and is now been practicing his career at a Law firm he is a rare story of success.  Player like Marlin Briscoe, Raghib “Rocket” Ismail, Johnny Unitas, Michael Vick, and Deuce McAllister. Michael Vick is still playing so he is coming out of his debt.

Is this a surprise to you? Not to me if you watch NFL player not all but most of them they get their money and spend it like wild fire. I just don’t understand how Deuce has gone broke he spent 10 year in the league and got paid 1 million a year some years more. To me he really needed someone to help him manage his money.

Why is Mike Vick  broke? He got in trouble for the Interstate dog fighting that his brother was running for him. Vick is still playing in the league and will recover from the debt because he has served jail time and now know what money is he has a family that he was to take care of.

They can give me all those millions I won’t blow them like that! What about you? The people that don’t have money would treat the money a lot different but I can’t say all some of them would do the same as them. Boy would it be nice!
