According to Yahoo News in the Arctic the Ozone layer is depleting being caused from human behavior and chemical pollution. The Ozone layer protects the earth from harmful ultraviolet rays that could damage earth and the people. The ozone layer has suffered a loss of 40 percent in the arctic region this year alone last year suffering a loss of 30 percent as you can see every year we are losing the Ozone until eventually we burn thru it.
This has gotten so bad that it is a world warning according to the UN weather agency the Nordic countries will experience higher than normal ultraviolet radiation in the coming weeks. The Ozone layer has reached record levels of depletion. This is all being caused by pollution in the atmosphere and a very cold winter in the stratosphere eventually this can end the life on earth if we do not act now by changing things to not fix the Ozone layer but stop it from depletion because we cannot fix what humans have already destroyed.
I feel in my eyes that this is nobody’s fault but our own the animals on earth didn’t put pollution in the air from driving vehicles around and having factories everywhere or neither did the aliens in space if there is such a thing. But if we do not change thing than eventually life on earth will be gone and everything will be burnt up.
This is pretty scary to me but I know that I have contributed to the pollution that is depleting the Ozone layer and I am trying to go green to help save it from burning up the rest of the way. I just really hope that this will all stop eventually and life on earth can continue without it burning up that would be a bad day don’t you think.
That would be a bad day!! We all have to do our part to protect the future of our world. I know it is difficult in our daily lives to think about these matters as we are busy with our day to day grind. However, it is important that we all make changes in how we live our lives. Even if everyone makes small changes slowly, it can't help but to improve our situation. Good luck going green as I am trying to my best as well.
ReplyDeleteWow.. I knew that the Ozone layer was disappearing but I didn't know how fast it was. I am guilty of this as I think everyone is... we MUST make changes fast... or it could be bad for all of us. I think it is awesome you are trying to go green, keep up the good work (:
ReplyDeleteWow. This is a scary thought to thinkg about. I knew that this process was occuring but it's shocking at how fast it is happening. If we really want to fix this problem it is time to act, and quickly, before we lose even more. I'm all in for going green.
